- Each MSBase centre is led by a Principal Investigator (PI) who is the lead neurologist at their clinic/hospital.
- MSBase membership must be initiated from a senior neurologist treating patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
- PIs authorise the contribution of pseudonymised patient data to the MSBase Registry and in turn can request access to the global database for research purposes. MSBase operates on this collaborative relationship.
- Each centre is responsible for ensuring Ethics and IRB approvals are in accordance with local laws and regulations to ensure legal compliance in their unique setting.
- Patient consent is required to participate with the global Registry
Who is eligible to become a member?
MSBase welcomes practising neurologists and their healthcare teams from around the world to become part of our global network. Membership begins with a senior neurologist actively treating patients who requests to register their hospital or clinic as a new participating centre and takes on the role of Principal Investigator (PI).
PIs represent their centre and must review and sign the MSBase Foundation governance documents to formalise their membership. Once onboard, they can invite other team members to join and contribute to the registry.
Membership is completely free, and all tools and services are available at no cost to members.
